TOKYO — EST. 2011

Closing the gap between management and engineering.

Fushikaden K.K. is an advisory firm in Tokyo, founded in 2011. We take on technical and organizational due diligence, and the design and delivery of AI adoption — with the same person accountable from start to finish, and no layers of subcontracting.

PRACTICE
What we do
Technical & organizational due diligenceFor M&A, investment and succession decisions. We examine the target’s engineering organization and its codebase against actual data — not against the story in the deck.
AI adoption, designed and deliveredWe define AI as a management agenda item, then carry it from requirements through implementation and day-to-day operation. No multi-layer outsourcing in between.
Client workRequirements, architecture, implementation and ongoing operation, handled end to end.
ResearchR&D across AI, culture and creative fields, and our own publications.
TRACK RECORD
Where we sit

We built a company, sold it, and now work on the buyer’s side.

The founder built a mobile game business to just under 30 employees, and sold that business to Appirits in 2018. For the two years that followed he served as Appirits’ Executive Officer and CTO, leading an engineering organization of 300–400, and was involved in the company’s IPO preparation (Appirits listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2021). In 2021 he founded a software development company and, as its Representative Director, grew it to around 150 people.

FOUNDER
MONOBE Eiji

Not an outside adviser. An owner who has run development organizations.

In software since 1999. Representative Director of two companies, and Executive Officer and CTO over an engineering organization of 300–400. Hiring, financing and shutting things down were decisions made in his own name — which is a different position from advising an organization on how to improve.

Both sides of the tableThe most senior technical role and the most senior management role, both held in practice. That is why a symptom in the organization can be explained through the code, and a symptom in the code through the organization.
Operator, not commentatorThe firm has run its own work on AI agents in production for three and a half years. The same structure is what we design for clients.
Writing, in EnglishHow Japanese software organizations actually make decisions — hiring, vendor structures, and what due diligence on Japanese targets turns up that the deck does not.
